I'm reposting this here as It seemingly disipeared off of rp forum. The build date was 28dec2008

Taking the Acorn out of the box and doing a fast inventory

One of the things I found great was the fact that First Flight Hobby marked the baggies they had the parts in with their signiture.

8" Chute
Tape disks
Screw eye
motor mount tube
centering rings
thrust ring
engine hook
shock cord and kevlar mount
Balsa nose block
small bag of bb's

Foam Corn with nose tip
Stuffer Tube
Balsa for fins

Cutting the fin pattern out of heavy cardstock made it so that I would not have to cut out the patern in the instructions. Also allowed me to cut the blasa in half to make the root edges

The conpleted Traced pattern

All four compleated fins

Compleated motor mount with kevlar shock cord mont.

The slots for the fins where cut with a 1/8th dreamal tool and a steel angle iron as a guide.
the fins are then glued in place with wood glue.

after the fins are glued in place the stuffer tube is glued in place.

Glueing the nose block in place then fitting it into the upside down body alinging it and a letting it set.

Completed ACorn rocket. (note added the other launch lug after hang up on launch)
