Fireball XL5

I just finished up my second prototype of an RC rocket glider version of the fireball xl5 came out pretty nicely 20 in wingspan 34 in Long 11.75 Oz ready to fly. I did this one in white to save a little bit of weight and I think it still looks pretty nice.

I am curious why you land on the asphalt rather than the grass? Do you get much scraping?

I land on the runway because real men land on the center line!

Its actually conveyor matting tacked to grass, no damage at all.
