Hey TRF, I am working on a genetic algorithm to aid in predicting aerodynamically optimal rocket designs. The first version works well, producing a fin shape, position, and nose cone design for performance while maintaining stability. I'd like to add some shape constraints to the fins, to encourage designs that are good looking and favor structural integrity. I need your help to build these constraints. Below, I've got three groups (P, S, T) of four designs each. If you're feeling lazy, I've created a poll up there; vote for your favorite out of each grouping. If you're feeling industrious, it'd be awesome if you would add a post to this one ranking each design in order of favorability, e.g.: P: a,c,b,d S: b,c,d,a T: c,a,d,b The more responses, the better; I'll put everything together to generate a series of constraint functions that nudge the optimal design to be both optimal, and sexy.
