Yes, I’m thinking of using (3) 4-40 shear pins

Thats a LOT of shear pin for a 4" rocket....

I don't even use #4's on my 5" rockets with M's in them. Generally I use (3) #2's on 4" FG rockets, YMMV though.

I found 3 #2s pretty excessive for my 4" rocket, but there was no chance that sucker was coming off before the charges went off!
