Hi All,

I am trying to figure out as much as I can on my own without asking many questions. I'm sure this has been covered before but I am mostly finding older info. I have been using RDF for tracking in the past but now I have the FW V2 GPS tracker. I'm sure the tracker is working properly, it's just me still in the learning phase.

1) Is there a sequence in which you turn everything on? Open the app first, then turn on the ground station, let it connect, and then the tracker, let it connect? All outside and not on a metal tail gate of a pick up?

2) Once the ground station and tracker are connected, under the Select Device, and I have GPS lock, is it normal for the tracker to disconnect? It will say, BLE disconnect LoRa ok. But, I can move the tracker around in my yard and it will still show the current location on the Map View.

3) Ground testing vs actual testing in the rocket. So, I put my tracker 0.8 miles away from my phone and GS, in a straight line of sight, and I had a straight line right exactly to my tracker in the Map View. But, when I did another ground test over a couple of small hills, no line of sight, I went to the last location of the marker on the map, and it did not take me any further. It said that the tracker was right there, but is it not. It was another mile down the road. So I drove to the tracker and then of course it picked up the tracker and showed it on the map. So I am guessing that once the rocket with the tracker is in the sky descending, it can be a mile or so away with a clear line of sight, it should show up on the Map view? even though it is at a great distance? So ground testing and a actual flight are two greatly different test because of ground terrain? ( what is the range for in the sky, with no obstructions)?

4) I'm not sure how to activate the voice for a real launch. Or will it do this automatically? I see how to select different voices.

5) In the Map View section, is there a way to delete all of the tracking lines from the previous test? Looks like a plate of spaghetti. Lol

6) So, just place the ground station in a shirt pocket? It does not need to be right directly below your phone?

Sorry for all of the questions. Even if one or two are answered it would greatly help me.

Until I get everything fully figured out, I am going to fly my radio tracker too.

Thank you!
