I had one of these, too!

Mine is my Quinstar, it definitely has the most flights of any of my rockets. No prep, just shove in a motor and go. Always fun, always get it back. D12-0 is the go-to motor, although at some point I'm going to try it with a D12-3.
That is the same reason I like my 18mm Centuri flying saucer. Low and loud, fast prep. I hope to be able to fly it on a C5-0 someday. The X-24 Bug or any of the Art Applewhite saucers fall into that category.

That looks like it’s fun to fly !!!

Am I seeing that right
it has a baseball bat look to it also

Very cool

I have a ton of rockets from low power to L3 High power but no matter what launch I attend, one of these three “Ole Reliable” rockets are on the flight roster. Apogee Zephyr DD, LOC T-Loc 4, or LOC Deployer.

Flown on motors F52- H250 for years. I take this one with me almost every time I fly. It’s an older Loc 29 mm Tweed B. I call it my
“gangrene machine”.
Its a great flyer! Here it is on a G80.

Yes, it tapers up a ways like a bat…..I did a very long paper shroud with foamcore supports to keep it’s shape and structure. Uses 24mm D or E motors….not very heavy as it is 2.6 dia body tube at the top. Flys straight….
