FA: Centuri F-16 (OOP - Sealed)

We recently purchased an impressive collection of rocketry items which includes a large number of still-sealed vintage rocket kits from Estes, Centuri, and other companies. We will be offering these kits for sale through online eBay auctions. The first kit up for auction is the Centuri F-16. This semi-scale rocket kit was produced by Centuri from 1976 to 1982.

Features:

• Parachute Recovery
• Clear Cockpit
• Two Simulated Missiles
• Two Simulated Long-Range Fuel Tanks
• Large Four-Color Decal
• Pre-Cut Fiber Parts
• Length: 15 in
• Diameter: 1.0 in

This kit is still-sealed. All the parts appear to be in excellent condition.

Tonight, we listed a Damon-era Estes Semi-Scale Honest John kit (K-27, 1227).

This one brought a touch of nostalgia to me. It has the green hang card and color scheme on the insert that I recall from the period when I first discovered rocketry in the early 1970s. The green colors indicated that it is a Skill Level 4 kit.

We were pleased.

The person we bought these kits from knew their value and we paid a reasonable price for them. So, this isn't the result of one of those yard-sale "scores" you sometimes hear about.

So, we're not making a killing from these sales, but it's a lot of fun seeing the older kits and doing research to learn more about them.
