I received my kit today.

I am going to do the blow by blow in building it with pictures in the reviews forum as that seems to be the proper place to do that.

All I can say so far is WOW. Having only built models this is a REAL rocket kit, packaged better, better instructions, better materials, and more all together professionally done than anything I have seen before.

I read through the instructions and am very impressed. Great instructions, including optional tips on making it stronger and for finishing.

The three plastic rivets for attaching the nose cone were missing from the kit but with the excellent correspondence I have had with this company I expect that will be rectified shortly.

I also received their aluminum motor retainer for 29mm, a 29-24 mmt adapter and a bag of wadding material as I ordered.

However as I am waiting for a package from Giant Leap Rocketry with a Kevlar shock cord protector and a chute protector for 2.6" airframes, I will be using the wadding for my smaller models.

All in all I am very impressed so far.

I will be posting a full blow by blow with jpegs in the reviews section starting tomorrow. I will be on vacation this weekend so there will be some lapses.

As we have kids and grandkids coming this weekend my wife has made me promise not to start construction on it until after this weekend. She doesn’t want exacto knives, epoxy and other things that can get you into trouble around the house until afterwards.

It is a small price to pay, gives me time to think about construction and study the instructions so I don’t mess it up.

Also it looks like this kit would be great as a camera rocket.

If I do that I will build a totally separate payload bay for using the camera, so I have a normal payload bay, and a special camera payload bay. The I wont feel guilty about cutting windows and such.
