:HI
This is a project that I been doing FOOOORRRRR-EVVVOOOOOORRR. I want to get-r-done.I just put the tunnels on and put the green puty to the ends. I got to finish fine fitting the fairings, get those on and a finaly once over and should be ready for paint. So heres one "Q" This kit came with "Fairing Gussets" These are made of thin card board stock. I can not find in the instructions any place on were these go. So I put them on the inside of the fairings ( being named "fairing gussets":confused2
I cut them down so they ran down the middle of the fairing and also had contact with the fin. I figured this way at least it will give the fairing 3 pts of contact on the BT and help reinforce the fin. So howed I do on that ?The kit also came with a "reinforceing ring" This fits inside the BT and I cannt find what Im suposed to do with this. Im thinking to put it in the top of the BT just below the bottom of the NC. This ring is real thin and I donnt think it will hang up the chutes. This seems the best place for it to me ,as the top of BT is a little weak. The bottom of the BT is plenty strong. I may be way of the mark here but this is were its going unless I hear dif from someone. The whole fairing -fin-gusset set up on this kit did not thrill me at all. If I was to do it again,I would make the fins outa balsa with more length and connect them directly to BT. Id then cut the fin slots out of the fairing and slide it over the fin and be done with it. I do think this way would be alot easer and be stonger. anywhoo- any comments on this would be great. thanks Scotty Dog
