Does anyone know how high the Estes X-Flyers go ? And what needs assembling on them.
Thanks
Karl

I think there are/were 2 versions of this "twin pack".

1) RTF packed in a clamshell plastic display package.

2) Kits packed in the triangular Wal-Mart "basic-builder" packaging. You must assemble using instructions.

Not in the 2004 Catalog, but luckily I have my 1998 catalog in my desk. Page 15. #1 1425 ft #2 1280 ft (with C6-7 motors). And the catalog confirms that in 1998 they were "ready built".

12 inch parachutes.

Expect the shock cords to break. If you are building the kit version, you can use the existing shock cord, but tie it to a 9 to 12 inch length of strong Kevlar cord and then anchor the Kevlar. "Strong" in this case means like the Quest Kevlar which is about 135 pounds "test".
