I am working on building a Starblazer-X20 clone. I am changing a few things based on my materials at hand. Has anyone created a .ork file for the stock version?
Thanks

Did you ever get anywhere with this? I'm working on one now, struggling a bit with decal placement.
Hi Neil,
I never got a .ork file completed.
My hold up was not knowing how to sim the fins.
I just read your tutorial on pods/T-fins the other day. So maybe it's time to try again.
Especially since the actual rocket is almost completed already! Lol

I had a significant error in the angles of the forward fins, use this file instead.

[edit ARGH, found another huge error in fin angles... updated the file again. Think I got it all correct now.]

Here's the "final" version. Known deviations/deficiencies (which I'm too lazy to fix right now):
  1. Motor retention not included (two external rings and a hook)
  2. Decals on fin tips are not oriented correctly on one of the fins
  3. Decals in front of the yellow/white stripe in front are modeled after @OKTurbo 's upscale, not the originals. I like it better without the extra text, I think.
  4. The cockpit is just an approximation, although it looks pretty good in the renders.
  5. For some reason the sim model came out somewhat light compared to the listed weight of the rocket, so I just overrode the whole thing. I don't think the missing motor retention stuff would have made up the difference. It's a really light rocket.
Looks pretty great overall, makes me want to build it, although bigger.
