My misses just informed me her favorite rocket of the 100 we've built is the Estes Skywinder. :surprised: Unfortunately, both the Skywinders we've built have met their final fate.

Does anyone have a kit they're willing to part with?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure I have one I'll hunt it up, after work.

I have been looking to replace our sons Skywinder for some time (originally had a missing rotor blade and crushed tube). It was always one of our favorite rockets. Now we have grandkids starting in rocketry and wanted them to enjoy this rocket. Last year I replaced the rotors by soaking thin card stock in water and forming around an original rotor - then applying paper mache past to ensure the hardness (worked pretty well). I also found a tube to replace the original crushed tube. On its rebuilt maiden and final voyage, the rocket blew apart and we only recovered two of the new rotor blades. Would love a replacement. Does anyone know where I might find one or find the pieces parts to rebuild one? Has Estes thought about recreating this rocket? It would probably sell quickly!

I loved to see this one reproduced by Estes.
