Estes Python 4--Actual Missile?

I didn't realize that the new Estes Python 4 kit is apparently based on an actual missile built by Israel's Rafael Armament Development Authority.

Obviously the forward fins are much smaller on the model for stability. Not sure how close to scale the rear fins are.

Yes, the new Israeli missile is yet another incarnation of the old U.S. Sidewinder air-to-air missile invented at China Lake. The 'winder has also been copied by the Russians, the Chinese, the Taiwanese, several countries in Africa . . . the list goes on. The external configuration may change a bit, but the components and the operation remain about the same.
