This is my BT-20 downscale with a 13mm MMT. I did the decals on clear Avery label paper.

This one turned out looking pretty good from a distance. When you get close, it's easy to pick out the flaws. Not sure why Estes hasn't reintroduced this classic. It goes so well with Der Red Max.

Mine is a 1972 vintage MK-3 Citation Patriot.

It has the molded black two-piece nose cone.

I flew it many times at the local school playground on B4-2 motors.

It's nearly forty years old, now.

Here's a picture of mine which was distributed by Mattel during 1978-1982 (approx.). I purchased this one on Ebay a couple of years ago and had to build it as it was always one of my favourite rockets at the time when I got hooked to the hobby (well, and still is of course ).

I wish, QModeling would have decided to release an upscale version of this one

Here's my Patriot.

It's an original kit from the 1980's, and it's received a payload section.

Estes Citation Patriot and same as a single-stage Payloader

The rocket didn't get sealed fins, nor gloss paint, nor a clear coat, so the decals are in pretty bad shape.

Right now I'm building a reproduction (Changed the 18mm engine mount to a 24mm to handle C11's up to E's), and pondering if I should make it a 2 stage rocket.

Pointy Side Up!
Jim
