I was wondering if anyone knows how much the Maxi Brute Honest John
cost when it was released in the 70's and how much it cost for
the later rerelease in the 80's or whatever that date was?
Thanks

When was that? I was just there yesterday and would have bought both with my 40% coupon. Damn, I really like both of those.

Our local hobby store had the honest john , V2 , and the pershing maxibrute kits for $20 each in the late 70's. My friend got the V2 and I got the Honest John both of which flew for many years before succoming to ejection charge failures. :(

Ninfinger has almost all of the old Estes and Centuri catalogs posted for you to look at old rockets, prices, etc.

The Maxi-Honest John came out in the 1975 catalog for $13.95. The Maxi V-2 and Pershing 1A came out in 1974 for the same price.

Have wreck of an original HoJo. Think I tried flying it on an FSI motor--bad idea. Built one of the re-released maxi-brutes and have several unbuilt kits cached.
