Other day, I went into Hobby Lobby and used a 50% off coupon. One of the rockets I bought was the Estes Screamin Mimi. I planed on turning it into a 5 motor cluster, but after browsing EMRR, I saw that that kit could be used to create the Maxi Ciatation Patriot. I love this rocket and once made a 3inch version that is a look a like (bfore I knoew it was an old Estes kit) that flies on 29mm motors. I have the nosecone and body tube for the rocket anf the bals for fins. I was wondering if anybody could help me with the dimentions. I need to know the length, width, etc. for the fins (print out templates would be even better), lenght of the body tube, and I think that's about it. I also need to know where I can get decals for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance!

I believe it is a gold colored decal...but I'm not positive.

They are 'plain old' gold metallic, but are not metal flake. I have a built up mid 1970's original, and a clone.

They are 'plain old' gold metallic,

That's Great then! "cause an Alps printer can do gold...if you have the cartridge!

Yes, it can, and I gots me a gold cartridge...

"I've got an ALPS MD-5000 and I know how to use it!!"

Here is a pic of my Citation Ptriot clone. I drew and printed these decals myself!!

I believe that was my review you saw on EMRR. I used the plans from JimZ's website which included a fin template. The body tube is already the correct length, so all you have to do is decide whether you want to use the 24mm mount that came with the Mimi, or make the clone more accurate with an 18mm mount.

I used decals from Tango Papa and used Future for the clear coat, which really brought out the colors in his decals.

JimZ's page is already taken care of in eugenefl's post, and here is the Tango Papa website.

Yes, Tango Pap is great!!

I have purchased a few sets of decals from him over the years. Even now, though I print my own decals, I buy my decal paper and my ALPS cartridges from him.

Thanks guys! I think I will go with the 24mm MMT so that I can always down size if I need to. I haven't figured out where I will order decals from yet. Thanks again!
