That is wild.
Great looking rocket.Back with the completed pics. I got up early this morning specifically to get the wrap completed on this. Thankfully I still had the same paint and the same alien skin wrap I used with the first rebuild so no waiting on things to get delivered.
Wrapped the upper and lower tubes by first marking a straight line on the tube then spraying the back of the vinyl with a water soap mix and rolling on the wrap. The fins and center retaining ring were left as bare paint.
I then packed up the rocket with wadding and two chutes, The lander has a 15" thin mil chute and the booster will come back on an 18" thin mil. Both now pack easily without any of the headaches of the previous design. Final weight is now 5.2oz packed ready to fly minus the motor so I knocked 1.2oz out of it when compared on the previous rebuild.
This one is done for now. View attachment 663556View attachment 663557View attachment 663558
THAT one would definitely benefit from a lengthened forward tube! Thanks for the comments guys. This makes me want to try to fix my old busted up Venus Probe .
