I received an e-mail from Estes this afternoon that my 30% off order was shipped.

Shipping weight was over 13 pounds!

Sorry if that meant there was nothing left for the rest of you. ;)
Good grief Bob, what did you order? If it was a bunch of motors, that would explain the weight....but they weren't in the sale.

Mine hasn't shipped yet but should be similarly weighty thanks to the sweet discount on the Pro Series pad/rail.
Yeah. I have to say that that pad is much better in person than the pictures show. I already have one (obviously) or it would've been tempting on that deal.

That pad is any amazing pad. Only "complaint" I have with it is the rail should really be two 4 foot sections, not 3. I guess I got used to the fact that most 1010 rails are 8 feet long
It would be nice if it were a little longer, but it should be more than enough for my park flying. Would also be nice if it had stake holes in the feet, but it looks like I can put straps around the leg joints if I ever need a little more stability.

Yeah. If I have a rocket that would be questionable on the little more than 5 feet of usable rail, then I can always drag out my big pad. One thing they could of done drill the two holes on both ends of the rail, sell another rail section and and joiner seperatly. If you saw my D13 Arreaux video off the pad, it was a little squirly... probabily could of used some more rail time :D

Fedex says that one of the two boxes I have coming (yeah, I went back for seconds) is arriving tomorrow, even though the tracking still shows it in Pueblo. Someone will have to drive all night to get it here tomorrow....

My order arrived today. Was a bit surprised how big the box was. Over 60% was the air bags. Took me nearly 5 min to pop them all so I could trash them. But everything did arrive safely.

Both boxes arrived today. I'll have to get into them after my wife and I get back from our trip to the coast tomorrow. In contrast to my last Estes order, the boxes don't look unreasonably large.

I'd be tempted to buy one of those if it weren't for the fact that Estes likely has to share some of its revenue from the sale of those kits.
I ordered the SpaceX Falcon and an Athena during the Estes sale. The Falcon 9 is a totally RTF kit, painted and preassembled. The only thing yo do is pull off the nozzle cluster, attach the clear fin cluster, and shove a motor in it. Looks good if you’re into RTF, but, man, what a disappointment.

An interestingly, the Falcon 9 kit box comes in its own skin-tight heavy-wall shipping carton. It looks like Estes expected to sell these on a 1-rocket-per-order basis as the carton+”kit” was packaged that way in China. My Athena and some other stuff came in a second box.

The Falcon 9 is a tie-in with SpaceX and is sold exclusively by Estes and SpaceX. The standalone shipping carton may be so the ones sold through the SpaceX store are ready to go with just a label.
