It would be much easier to mask and paint while the wraps are flat. Anyone know of a paint that will flex and not crack when the wraps are installed? So on the old vacuform wraps there used to be raised lines to seat masking tape on... I guess I'll have to be very deliberate in masking the wrapped areas since there is none of that now!
Perhaps wrapping them around an appropriate size tube and spraying them might work. Probably just tack glue them in place with repositionable spray adhesive. It would be much easier to mask and paint while the wraps are flat. A paint made for lexan rc car bodies may work. I've got a bunch of Pactra rattle cans. I'll test it out on a scrap when I get home from work in the morningIt would be much easier to mask and paint while the wraps are flat. On my 1/48th one, I have 1/8th" inch stringers to mask around. Not looking forward to this. I might back fill with either a Sharpie pen or enamel paint pen marker from Testors.
Thank you very much! Here are mine (.ork and .rkt):

Thank you.Silver Pactra rattle can lexan paint on a scrap of Estes wrap. No damage to the wrap and no chipping or cracking when rolled.View attachment 373710
did you mean BellevilleGot mine from Belleview...
Got mine from Belleview the other day and just got around to unboxing and begin building and right off the bat, Im missing the engine hook. Who should I contact? Estes or Belleview, or just order another from my favorite dealer and be done with it??

...looks like they are temporarily unavailable again at AC Supply.
Use a 29mm motor tube and a screw on retainer. Woosh! I *knew* there was a reason I have been stuck on this wrap... I stopped cutting/gluing them with this wrap. Now I know why. Also, I guess maybe cut them all out and dry fit first? Are you referring to the issue with the tunnel location and the clocking of the interstage wrap ? Just read about it on Chris’ blog:

I haven’t gotten that far yet, but assume there is an issue. Anyone else come across this problem ?
