is being covered live on the nasa channel...
i WAS going to bed...
now i think i'm hooked.

i wonder if i can see it outside once it gets up a ways...?
1 more hour...

it took off on 6 strap-ons (sounds like our local college swim team ;) ) and the main liquid-fueled engine...they airstarted the last 3 strap-ons after the first 6 burned out and were sloughed off.

what kind of igniters do they use for the huge solid rocket boosters?
