this morning...about 10 minutes left until launch!

it took off on 6 strap-ons (sounds like our local college swim team ) and the main liquid-fueled engine...they airstarted the last 3 strap-ons after the first 6 burned out and were sloughed off.

what kind of igniters do they use for the huge solid rocket boosters?
