Ok, I built my first rocket stand; 1x4, dowel, spent engine case. came out great other than I tore the heck out of the engine mount assembly on my Quest Courier. My question for the Panel of Experts; Can I simply build a new engine mount? It flies very well and the paint job is one of my better jobs (Gloss white body with a coat of future, gloss black NC with a coat of future) I figure I can make the mount rings out of comic book cardboard backing and the engine retaining clip is still good, but where can I find an engine tube and a thrust ring?

Thanks in advance!

Doug

For an engine tube you can use a length of BT-20, probably available at a local hobby shop. For the thrust ring I would probably use a cut 18mm motor casing.

Either Balsa Machining Service or Totally Tubular. They should have everything you need.
