Eggtimer Windows 11 BT Serial Driver help....

I have an Eggtimer Dongle RX and BT module.

The PC sees the BT:


Not sure what I need to do to assign a com port to the BT04-A?

If I go to BT Devices, and choose "More Bluetooth settings" it show the device, but no ports...it also doesn't allow me to add ports...Any ideas?

How do you connect your windows 11 PC to the Eggtimer BT Module?

I use an HC-06 and it sets up the COM5 matching itself. Actually, it sets up 2, and only one functions.

So I deleted the device, and readded. Now it is showing the ports, but Mapsphere and Putty are still a no go...

This is why we've never recommended the Bluetooth dongle for Windows... Windows is really flakey with Bluetooth ports. I would change the port numbers in Device Manager to COM2 (incoming) and COM3 (outgoing), and use COM2 with your application.

Closing this thread out. I have abandoned using BT with windows, and have gotten the serial USB to work with the Dongle RX.
