E12-0s blow up

Multiple CATOs of E9-6s with known bad date code of 01-12-16 in this video, blowing up a scratch built, radio controlled, tube launched (in part 3 video) semi-scale Javelin missile. Also CATOed in a static test:

Looks like the E9 isn't nearly enough for that project anyway. Not to mention the hear-horizontal angle...
 
Have recent batches of E9s and E12s been performing correctly?
 
Based on our launch on Saturday: YES.

Extreme 12 flew insanely high on E12-0 to E12-8.

Lots of E9 flights as well.

And a cluster of 4 D12-5 motors.

No failures.

Weather was cool (in the 50's F).

I just bought my first E12 motors. Our Hobby Lobby now has the E12-6. I am nervously anticipating my first use of them! :)
