Dual deploy question

I’m trying to get into dual deploy. I’ve got a LOC Athena that I want to make dual deploy. Ideally I’d like to keep the 3 inch avionics bay removable so that I can put it on a different rocket in the future if I like. My question is: what’s the best way to go about doing this? I know you use shear pins for the nose cone but what do you use to keep the payload bay attached to the eBay? Or do you have to? Can you just have it lose and attached with a recovery line so when it deploys then main both the eBay and nose cone pop out? Thanks for the help.

Push rivets, or small steel screws into the bulkhead (or, if FG, just through both layers of FG). Masking tape also works, although less 'elegant'.
I would never leave it loose; you want the ejection charge to push out the NC and the chute. If both or either end of the payload bay can come off, who knows what is going to happen.

I use t-nuts and machine screws. for 3" tubing I would use two 6/32 screws and t-nuts at 180 degrees apart.

I'm doing the same with my Athena as well. I just use small M4 screws with CA reinforced drilled holes.
