I went to the Aerotech website and looked up the instructions on the DMS M1350. I see the forward bulkhead/smoke closure has threads tapped into the forward end. Can this be used as an eye bolt attachment point for recovery purposes? My project will be around 35 pounds.

Thanks
Andrew

Yes, you can. The RMS closures fit a 3/8-16 thread. Wait until the epoxy cures before trying it. I'm not sure about the DMS, but it should be the same.

As said, yes it will. I used it as a second point of attachment for a second cord going to the swivel. This was intended as a backup shock cord. If you make it a bit longer than the main cord, if the main snaps, it has taken most of the force and the back up should remain intact. Ran the cord out the bottom, attach to eye bolt and screw in place with motor out, tighten, then install motor.
