A couple of videos depicting a few of my flights and today’s launch. All four of the airframes I’ve built in the last month got to fly at least once, and the Gnome came very close to exhausting my supply of 13mm motors.

Very fun, I’m definitely looking to flying again in October.

First flight for the entire event: a Gnome on a 1/4A3-2T. I also flew it on 1/2A3-2Ts and A3-4Ts that day.

First flight for the Phantom, on a 1/2A6-2. No damage, perfectly flyable on recovery. But that’s still the only flight it made that day.

First flight for the Goblin, on a C11-3. I cracked a fin on landing, that’ll need fixing. Surprisingly it doesn’t seem to be the glue joint that failed, but rather the body tube paper

First flight for the Hi-Flier XL. I had to fix a fin before flight (I stepped on it 🤦‍♂️) and the RSO asked me to put a second launch lug on. With those fixes it made two beautiful flights on E12s, one on a 4-second delay and another on 6. The CA glue wasn’t completely cured and it cracked again while I was returning it to the pad after the second flight, so that’ll need fixing before I fly again.
