Can anybody offer some advice on how to apply the peel and stick Estes decals. I just finished a Mercury Redstone and have no doubt I will butcher the rocket with these decals unless I learn some tricks of the trade.

When all done with the painting I spray clear gloss over the entire rocket.

I mix two drops of dishwashing liquid in a soup bowl of water. Then I peel off the peel and stick decals. Holding the decal by the edge I swish it through the soap water. Make sure the adhesive does not touch the bowl.

The decals will slide around the rocket for about a 30 sec. so you can get them in place. Blot out the air bubbles with a paper towel.

After everything is dry You can spray again with either gloss or matte clear.
