Today PARSeC (Piedmont Area Rocketry of South Carolina) had their monthly launch. This was my first time attending their launch and I had a great time. The field is a lot small that what I am used to and the location is very close to a lot of traffic.

I hope our very own AlexM will help me out with the names of some of these rockets and what motor they were flying on.....

First up is one AlexM's rockets.........

There were several families there with kids. They had their own Estes launch pads and were launching rockets left and right......

This pic is another one of AlexM's rockets. He launched it on a E11 (I think) and the rocket just sat there and did not move a bit. The motor burned, there was a delay and then the nosecone was deployed......

Here's one of my 3 flights. This is my newly build Estes Harpoon (only painted with white primer right now) taking off on a C6-5

My third flight was my LOC Onyx on F50-7...... Nice flight, just too high for that small field.... It landed only about 20 yards from a major road with tons of cars.......

No pics..... all I got was smoke.......

As if I wasn't already sad enough at having to sit this one out...

Looked like it was a great day to launch. I'm definitely going to try and get to the next launch on 15 January.

March,
A lot of others missed this one too. Phil and Alan just to name a couple.

BTW, the fifth one down is our Goddard prototype. Just our luck that the nozzel blows on it's first flight. Of coarse, it could have been worse... We launched it again on another E-9. The flight was good!
