Just watched a documentary on Amazon Prime about two engineer friends in Denmark who attempt to build and launch a manned rocket into space on a low budget. It's called "Amateurs in Space". It focuses more on the relationship of the two friends and stress the project puts on them, but does show their progress and results along the way. If you have some time to kill, it might be worth watching.
