Just idle curiosity, how many of you took advantage of NORADs Santa tracker?

I looked at it but was surprised to see him delivering gifts at the rate of 100K/second while over the Sargasso Sea...

That's a whole heap of cruise ships maybe. ;)

It was such a big deal every year, when the kids were little. Laptop by the fireplace, cups of hot chocolate, grandma's cookies... I didn't tune in this year but my (25yo) son did.

We didn’t use NORAD, but the 8yo did log into my flight tracker account and track him (Santa) that way. At 10pm he said he needed to hit the bed so Santa could stop since he was close by.

It's fun. Every year the folks in our 911 dispatch center tone an alert over the fire channel with a fun poem about Santa and the Norse sightings. Many dispatch centers do the same thing with a similar poem, so anyone can probably listen to a scanner and hear it. This year, my wife had her trainee air it for everyone. She did a good job too.
