:surprised:
I purchased an M1101 CTI reload prior to determining whether or not it is NAR or TRA certified, to use for my Level 3 cert flight. Too late, I looked at the NAR and CTI certified motors list, only to discover this motor is not listed.

However, I also could not find any CTI M motors listed for either organization. For NAR: https://www.nar.org/standards-and-testing-committee/nar-certified-motors/

For TRA: https://www1.tripoli.org/CertifiedMMotors/tabid/176/Default.aspx

Am I missing something? Are there truly no CTI M motors certified by either organization?

It is certified by the CAR....which has reciprocity with tra and nar. You're good!

Man that had to be a high pucker factor moment. Glad it worked out.

Yeah, I was pretty much figuring that most fliers who have certified at MDRA launches have done so with CTI motors sold by AMW-ProX, our vendor. I knew that the CTI motors were CAR-certified, but nowhere in the NAR L3 docs does it say CAR-certified motors are okay. But the answer I am getting from everyone is that they are okay.

I can definitely understand the OP's confusion on this.

Note the language on the most recent NAR L3 application form. The application form is found on the NAR website, and is dated 2002.

Perhaps it's time to update that form - :)
