I noticed that when putting the main body tubes together. ThxJust a heads up. When installing the coupler/motor mount assembly in the main tube beware of glue grab.
Dry fit first and make sure it's not too tight or binding. You may want to consider white instead of yellow glue.
And position the glue with a dowel just behind the forward stop.
Don't ask me how I know.
Go for it! There is a lot of balsa to sand so its not a fast buildI've had this kit in my closet for a couple years, may have to go ahead and build it.
If you're interested in converting it into an Accur8 Indigo Ragnarok Orbital Interceptor, I have a spare set of skins that I am willing to part with pretty cheap. If interested PM me for details.I've had this kit in my closet for a couple years, may have to go ahead and build it.
I wish I would have read that before I glues it in. It is a bear to mask off for paintLOOKING GREAT!
I had this kit. I built it.....and on its first launch...I hung it in a tree never to be taken home again! I do have one more of these kits in my closet though......
Say I wold recommend that you paint the internal structure that goes in the scoop first! The final fit is so tight that it will only need a tiny bit of glue. I painted the internal structure before I painted the rocket and it was the last thing I glued on when done (I did mine in black). Also you can do this, if my memory serves, with the motor mount stuff too. The more you paint prior to gluing on the doo-dads the better. I wish I had a photo of my old one. Wow that was a heart breaker...This is a great kit. It will eat F24-W's Great motor for this kit.
Keep posting photos!
