55 years ago I made a videotape at high school. I carried it around since then, but it was in an antique video format (Ampex VR5100) so I had no way to play it and had never seen it since it was recorded. I had looked at some video recovery places but their prices were high, and nobody advertised this particular format. But then I ran across a guy on YouTube who had recovered another old tape from that era and sent it to him. He couldn't play it, but he knew a guy...

And now I'm seeing it again for the first time, in 55 years.

As a kid I read the Sunday color comics with Steve Canyon and Terry and the Pirates.
Both by Milt Caniff.

I have recorded nearly all of the Steve Canyon TV series. A few years ago they were shown regularly on Comet for awhile.
