Dec 1st: Tesla Semi delivery event.
Dec 2nd: Northrup B-21 unveiling.

I'm almost hyperventilating back here.

100 Raider order - wow! Pretty cool video to watch all right! The Raider is meant to retire the B1 and B2, but not "Buf" (?) - the B-52s will out live us apparently!!

Sorry, if you don't like steam maybe we can't be friends...

I got to see a steam locomotive once. At least one like the video. A set of tracks went behind our house in Pinckney Michigan. A rural area. This had to be late '60's or early '70's. We were out on the property and saw the plumb of smoke coming. Then heard it. Seeing it down the tracks was amazing. I can picture it like it was yesterday. All the other steam engines I have seen were in museums.

In 1988 I rode on the Flying Scotsman during its Australian visit. My brother and I walked down the tracks to see her being fettled and turned around. She spun the drivewheels coming off the turntable.

Amazing day.

If ever a machine was close to being alive it was a big steam engine.

Aside: I have stood on the footplate of the Mallard when I was working in the UK. Gorgeous machine.

Assembly and launch video of an Argo D-8 (Journeyman), a VERY tall 4 stage sounding rocket from 60-ish years ago. It's most interesting for the assembly, details, and "rocket porn" imagery of it on the pad. As for the launch, nice liftoff but no long range tracking cameras so it's mostly boring far off smoke trails after that.
