This is actually rocketry related. I have a tape of the "VideoCam" flight from 1996. An upscale of an Astrocam, 7.5" diameter, with a VHS-compact recorder onboard. Flown on a Dynamic Propulsion Systems research "Yellow Jacket" sparky L. It's very possible that the tape is no longer usable but I'd like to give it a try. Also have a tape of some of LDRS 10, 11, and 12 to convert. (Both tapes are ordinary VHS, not compact)

Of course I could just google it, but I'd prefer to trust a service that a list member has actually used, preferably more than once, and found to be satisfactory. I trust the list members (a LOT) more than I do online reviews....

Thanks for any input -- Terry

I have a Sony DCR-TRV520. It will play analog Hi-8 tapes and output SD (480i) digital video. If I can find the cable... I used it to digitize all my older analog tapes. The quality is only as good as the tapes :(
