At yesterday's MARS club launch, we were descended upon by (about) 15 students from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) going for L1 certification. I may have a few numbers and details slightly off, but here's what came away understanding:
They are a collectively self taught group, with two members already L1 certified. They were the cert team for the rest. All but one flight was successful, and that flyer retried and succeeded the same day. Rarely have I heard of so many certs in one day except at national or big regional events, and never have I heard of such a success rate
