I live in North West Ohio. The Maumee river is close to where I work. It seems like the river is pushing up the ice into massive dams or huge mounds. The photos dont do this justice....WOW! I just thought I would share this. NOT rocket flying weather for sure!!!

And that usually leads to ice dams and flooding. We get it periodically on the St. Laurence & it's tributaries. I've seen ice 'boulders' on the river. Like you show in the picture, but with ice 3' thick!!

It is quite the scene!
 
I am pretty sure the HIGH yesterday was -7 with wind chill down to -34. It's darn cold. But get this.....it's going to be close to 50 on Sunday!!!!!
 
50 sounds nice compared to -7! Thanks for sharing the pictures. I've always been fascinated by weather events. Stay warm.
