The third of five Acton launches this season will be on 02 July. Acton is a low- and mid-power field so no high-power rockets and, as always, no sparky motors. No NRC event this time; if you want to improve your standing, you'll have to attend NARAM and compete there. We'll be back to competition events at our August launch.

The weather looks to be unstable toward the later afternoon four days out so we'll likely have a reduced set up.

We don't have the option of using a different day so Saturday will be it. Keep an eye on the Launch Status box at the top of the web page and this forum for updates.

We won't have a motor vendor on the field this week.

Plenty of volunteer opportunities to sign up for.

COVID-19 is still with us in one form or another so please take precautions and be courteous of others.

Set up will be at 9:30. Help out with the activities and you'll enjoy the day that much more.

Due to the forecast of adverse weather conditions throughout the day, we are scrubbing the launch scheduled for July in Acton. By the policy of the Acton Park/Rec Department, we don't get a rain date. Normally when rain has been predicted for Acton during one of our launches, we show up and fly at least one rocket so the day isn't a total loss. This time, though, it's not just rain, it will be severe thunder storms which don't mix well with metal posts stuck in the ground.

We'll try again in August. In the meantime, have an enjoyable Fourth.
