Well, I made it out to our club launch on Saturday. The SCRA of Southern California. It was an absolutely perfect day. Not to rub it in, but this is why I love So Cal in Dec. Take a look. That's me helping to set up. Notice I'm wearing shorts and it is clear with almost no wind. It was about 80' that day.

The first rocket I flew was my original Estes Pathfinder. Hadn't flown that in probably 10 years or more. It flew great. Sorry didn't get a picture of that one. Next up my son Kellen is hooking up the Der Red Deuce.

And here it is up in the air. Yes only one motor lit, but it did not affect the flight too much, still was a good flight and recovery. This is a 24mm Deuce by the way. I attempted to chad stage with 2 D12-0 to 2 D11-9, but the RSO wouldn't let me do it there. I'll have to wait until next time out at Lucerne.

Then I sent up my Renegade. This is a clone of the original Estes kit, not the new one.

You'll notice that next to the Renegade is a larger rocket. Didn't get the guys name but he told me it was a kit bash of an AT Warthog and something else. He added a payload bay and custom made a cluster MMT. He was flying it on 2 29mm motors. Take a look.....

I attemted to send up my "repaired" Shrox Icarus. In another thread I mentioned that it core sampled. Well I fixed it and made it 24mm compatible. I loaded it up with an AT E15-7. Take a good look at it......

I didn't want to launch any 29mm stuff so I loaded up my 29mm Mean Machine with a 24mm adapter and stuck an F21-4 in it. I had made it so it breaks apart in the middle with 2 seperate 'chutes. Man do I love those F21-4's. Here she is on the pad, I think if you look carefully the engine is just starting to ignite.

The only draw back to these motors is that they are so stinkin fast, once they ignite they're gone. All I got was a smoke trail.

Well during all of this my Icarus was having igniter problems. As I was chasing down the Mean Machine, the igniter got changed and the Icarus was launched. It was a good flight, or so I'm told as I never saw it. One of the fins got broken, no big deal that's fixable.

Next up was my Vindicator. Here it is on the pad.

And here it is in mid flight. Flight and recovery were perfect. I think I used a C6-5 in it.

If you look carefully in the background you see my purple truck and the big yellow box I carry my rockets in.

Well I had to try the Deuce again, so my son loaded it up with 2 more D12-5's and we tried it again. This picture is right at liftoff.

I'll be a son of a gun if only one motor lit again. But I got a good shot of it.

That was our day. Not a whole lot of launches 'cause of how many people were there, but still fun nonetheless.
