So I decided to try using those flame resistant chute protectors. So far, they are holding up well for 18mm motors. After 7 flights of C5's, the protector is only discolored and lightly charred. However, after three flights on 24mm motors (C11,D12,D12), the protector on a different rocket is a crispy, burnt and ruined mess. In all fairness, they have done their job perfectly so far. Zero damage to the chutes. Curious if anyone else has similar experiences with these?

Thanks for listening.

They are definitely a limited-use item. I use mine for HPR charge wells so if I get 3 flights out of a nomex blanket, I'm happy.
