Chute and Shock Cord Upgrade for a Launch Pad Hawk?

I've just finished building my Launch Pad Hawk kit. I want to upgrade the elastic shock cord to kevlar. Any recommendations on length? I also wnt to upgrade to a Nylon Chute for it. Any recommendations on size?

Those tubes zipper easy. Run the kevlar just short of the top of the tube then use the shock cord from the kit from there on.
I'd tie it directly to the nose cone then come back 8" or so tie a loop for the chute.
My Krypton uses a 24" chute (nylon).
You'd probably be Ok with an 18".
