Based on online pricing, I'd say that's a good price for a single bale/lifetime supply.

What ever store you go to...ask if they have a broken bail or look and see if there is one that is partially ripped open. Then see if they will sell at a discount. I got a open bail for a couple bucks at a Home Depot. You will get a lot regardless. I'm still using mine a couple of years later and I give away 1gal ziplock bags full at launches.

+1 on that. I got my bale in a clear trash bag because it was tore open. Marked at 50% off and I doubt a handful was missing. Still using it 12 years later.
