I'm currently looking into getting an embedded chat page sorted, but you can still connect with your favourite IRC client using the details Charlaine has provided.

Ok, thanks. I haven't been on chat in a really long while. I do have vIRC installed though.

I was able to connect via the Chatzilla plug-in for Firefox.

It is not hard at all, I suspect you have FTP access Phil? then follow the step by step process http://widget.mibbit.com/manager/

--------------------------------------------------------------

Go to- http://www.mibbit.com/chat/
Click server- paste this in- irc.hashnet.org
For nickname put in your TRF handle or use the default one
for channel paste this in- #therocketryforum

--------------------------------------------------------------

This is alot better than dealing with the old java applet or cgi-irc or writing your own.

Thanks, Mibbit was my first choice for browser-based IRC. Unfortunately all mibbit users appear to come from the same IP, and the server only allows ~3 connections from any one IP. As I'm too lazy to change the server, we've got a Java-based IRC client coming *very* soon. I'm pretty sure it's better than the old one, too.

That's good -the old one was fairly terrible. Of course, the best way is just to use VIRC/MIRC.

Apparently that's "too hard and takes time" :confused2:
