I don't know if radio_boy1 out of Plainfield, IL participates on this forum, but a big congrats to him on this transaction! (Must of been the free shipping that did it :)).

If you look at what's included, this part stands out

The electroincs alone are about $500, the kit $220, so I have well over $1,000 into this kit in parts alone.

I don't recall the pricing on the G-Wiz MC with certainty, but $250 per unit sounds about right. So, $800 suddenly isn't so out of line.

Would I buy it? Likely not -- buying built rockets isn't my thing. But if someone wants to make the leap to staging APCP, this isn't such a bad way to go.

Yes, I saw that too. But used G-Wiz MC's are only going for $100 to $120. So that's ~$560 to $600 for the rocket and recovery accessories?!
