Another of the 70's Classic Designs was the Centuri Laser-X.
It's a really eye catching design the flys exceptionally well. Back in the day it was sort of the opposition model against Estes Mars Snooper. Didn't matter ya had to have both LOL!!!
Over the years I've up and downscaled it a number of times. Smallest is a BT-20 bodied micro maxx powered, largest is a BT-101 3 D12 Clustered electronically Staged model along with a very strangely painted Single D12 upscale.
My original 70's model was lost to a break-in but it's replacement is a kit purchased the same day It just took a bunch of years to get over the Horror of a couple hundred built models being destroyed by vandels to build the replacement.

This was a fun build. A little more challenging than a level 1, because you have 3 pieces to make the main fins. I'm planning a 4x upscale.

Sorry for the fuzzy photo. I took several, and this is the best one. A shutterbug, I am not.

My Laser-X just finished from the Semroc kit (see also my build thread). Decor is a melange of the 1972 and 1975 catalog versions.

Late edit to answer John's question: This is the standard size version.

Fun build. The motor tube extends out the back of the rocket, and is difficult to see with the red paint.
