Does anybody know how to cast resin to make some parts for a Centuri LJII. I need to know how to cast the little retro rockets and housing on the command module. I'm missing some and there are none to be found. I have a thread in LPR looking for some, but who knows.

Jacque,
Your best bet would be to get a small resin casting kit from someplace like MicroMark. They come with everything you need and instructions. I can't think of any company names, but you should do a search for resin casting or go to the MicroMark site. I think Alumilite is one brand.

"Is there any risk of brain damage?"
"Well, technically the procedure is brain damage."

You can also get acrylic casting kits that are pretty much the same. They come with a paint-on latex. You paint it on, peel it off, and there's your mold. You mix the plastic, pour it, and let it set. I've no idea which is better for this purpose, but they probably work the same. I'm betting resin is cheaper though.

Your sig! Excellent brain quote. From that Jim Carey movie, right?

One of my favorites is from Walter Freeman, famous old neurosurgeon, in the operating room: "OOPS! There goes the piano lessons!".

Yes! It's from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" I loved the deadpan delivery of that one.

This won't help with resin casting as you've gotting some pretty good suggestions already but you may be overlooking an alternative to casing.
the original Satrun-1B 1/70th scale and smaller 1/42nd Mercury Redstone had the reaction motor nozzles and bodies made for turned down and balsa or basswood blocks. I know I've replaced many a nozzle over the years on my OLDer then dirt Sat-!B but sticking an 1/8" hardwood dowel in an electric drill and turning the nozzle between thumb and forefinger with a 6 inch file. finishing with sandpaper and hollowing with the very tip of a #11 X-acto blade before cutting them off to the right length.
Hope this helps
