Just finished my paper and cardstock clone of the Ion Pulsar.
Getting better at making body tubes and nosecones.
!@#$ Rust-Oleumm clearcoat made the underlying paint run.
Of course, it may be applying the paint in the almost dark might have prevented me from seeing exactly how much I was spraying on.
Naa, couldn't have been that.

Nice job! Yeah, you have to start with a thin coat on the cardstock models, it takes a lot to get absorbed into the paper, and too much too quick might make the ink run, more lighter coats usually work better than heavier coats.
