So my last flight ended in a bit of a bad landing due to the main chute not deploying properly... Or at all for that matter. Video here.

That resulted in it smacking right into a rock and completely collapsing the tube opening.

Insert sadness.

I played with a couple ideas like a new airframe or just cutting off the damaged part and going with a 4 inch shorter rocket. What I ended up doing was sticking a coupler in to sort of regain it's shape, sanding down the ridges that wouldn't go away, and fiberglassing the outside to regain it's strength. Overall it was a fun repair, it definitely isn't the greatest fiberglassing job but it'll do.

Now she's ready for an L2 attempt! 😄
