John Babcock who was out last world war 1 veteran died at 109 recently. He was literally the last living connection we had with the generation that helped forge our nation in places like Beaumont Hamel, Passchendale and Vimy Ridge.

Sad, i was not too long ago the Bill Stone, the UKs last WW 1 vet vet passed away.

Mr Stone was a class act I saw interviews with him on TV.
