I did a search and didn't find anything so my apologies if this has been asked before. I epoxied a rail button to the wrong spot on a fiberglass tube. Am I stuck with an extra button on the tube now or is there any good way to remove it? The epoxy used was 15 minute BSI. I wasn't paying attention and the button decided to go for a walk on me. Would heating the bonded area and prying apart work?

Yup, gently heat with a blow dryer and tap it sidways inline with the body tube with a small hammer or flatback chisel

As above, heat will soften epoxy. Go slow, do not distort the airframe with to much heat.
When you get the button off, the epoxy will be kind of gummy, you can then scrap it off with an exacto blade at 90 degrees to the surface. You'll never even know it was ever there.
